My very first bronze, "Young Indian with Braids". A few days before Christmas 1987, then living in Snyder, West Texas, I had the opportunity to see a demonstration by a local sculptor, who explained the bronze sculpting process, showing some of his art works and tools. Coming back home, I explained to Françoise and our four children what I saw, and bragged that I certainly could do some type of sculpting myself. Guess what happeped next? As a Christmas present, I received 5 pounds of clay... No choice! I had to do something... and here it is.
Limited and numbered edition. This is # 20 of 150.

Mon tout premier bronze : "Jeune Indien avec nattes". Quelques jours avant Noël 1987, alors habitant Snyder, dans l'ouest du Texas, j'avais eu l'occasion d'assister à une démonstration par un sculpteur local, qui avait expliqué l'ensemble du procédé, montrant quelques unes de ses pièces et des outils. De retour à la maison, j'avais décrit l'affaire à Françoise et nos quatre enfrants, me vantant que je pourrais sans doute faire un peu de sculpture moi-même à l'occasion. Devinez ce qui est arrivé ensuite ? Comme cadeau de Noël, je me suis retrouvé avec plus de 2 kg d'argile pour sculpture... Pas le choix ! Il me fallait faire quelque chose... et voici mon premier produit.
